Coaching is a non-judgmental practice where I share my observations based on what you express in efforts to raise your awareness. Also, I pose open-ended questions to help you expand the possibilities you imagine for yourself. My overall goal is to inch you closer towards your ideal (not perfect) self.
You don’t achieve a goal solely by talking about it. Though important, speaking about what you want is the first step. You achieve a goal by doing. For coaching to work, you must be committed to carrying out the action steps you established with your coach.

Coaching can be therapeutic but it’s not therapy. The goal of psychotherapy is to directly facilitate an emotional-healing process. The goal of coaching is to increase your awareness and clarity on a matter that has you feeling stuck. Coaching usually feels therapeutic for many, but is not considered psychotherapy.
Coaching is a different frame of work than counseling or consulting. Many people view consultants and counselors as experts who hold all the knowledge and answers about their clients’ issues. In coaching, however, we believe the opposite. We believe clients are capable, resourceful, and whole and that they are the experts of their own experiences. “Fixing the problem” for the client can be disempowering to the client.
In coaching, the client leads the coach where the client wants to go. Coaching is not about advice-giving because a solution for one person may not be a fitting solution for another. Coaches engage in a non-hierarchical relationship with their clients, not with a mindset of expertise and problem-solving, but with a mindset of curiosity and partnership.
Unlike psychotherapeutic approaches, coaching does not place a heavy emphasis on exploring your past and healing. Coaching focuses on solutions for your future. In psychotherapy, a psychologist is looking for specific responses from their clients, oftentimes to make a diagnosis. Coaches, however, are not looking to find problems but follow the interests of their clients. As coach, my work is to position you to pursue what you believe is most important to you.
Sessions take place virtually via Zoom.
A standard session lasts up to 50 minutes to one hour.
